Past Naylor Workshops
The Naylor Workshop was originated and has grown and developed during a particularly rich and exciting time for undergraduate research in Writing Studies. The history of this annual event, and the work of the many people who have supported it, also offers a narrative about the state of undergraduate research within and around the discipline.
From this page, you can access archives from the various iterations of this workshop over the years. It can be read to find information on the workshop for a specific year, beginning with the inaugural workshop in 2014. But it can also be read as a historical narrative, following the ways in which this work has developed, learning about the important individuals who have acted as plenary speakers and mentors, and tracing the trends in research topics and methods that undergraduate researchers brought with them. You can also read the comments of undergraduate researchers and mentors who have attended, access past calls for proposals, and see some of the ways in which their work has been honored on their campuses.
We welcome your feedback on any of the materials, your suggestions for how we might improve and grow, and questions you have about getting involved.
